# POS Printer Network Setup Guide: LAN, Static IP ও Kitchen Routing

Official Epson example, secure IP plan ও restaurant routingসহ vendor-neutral network setup এবং fault-isolation guide।

Network POS printer-এ Ethernet cable-এর বেশি লাগে। Power/link, valid IP, stable address, reachable print service, compatible driver/protocol, correct POS destination এবং supported job format দরকার। এই order-এ test করলে IP conflict থাকা অবস্থায় driver reinstall করতে হয় না।

Guide vendor-neutral; official TM-T82III document থাকায় Epson example ব্যবহার হয়েছে। Rongta, Xprinter, Star, Bixolon ও অন্য model-এর utility, port, emulation/reset আলাদা হতে পারে। Live printer change-এর আগে exact model/interface manual খুলুন।

## Network setup plan

Printer-এ branch, station, model, asset ID/support label দিন; admin password নয়। IP/MAC controlled register-এ। Identical-looking cashier/kitchen printer-এ wrong reset ঠেকায়।

Router/firewall, switch/AP, POS, printer ও local bridge-এর simple map। Internet ছাড়া local print হতে পারে, কিন্তু local path কাজ করবে। Cloud POS-এর browser/agent/gateway vendor-specific।

## DHCP reservation নাকি static

Address stable হবে। DHCP reservation router একই MAC-কে same IP দেয়। Manual static printer-এ configure হয় এবং DHCP pool-এর সঙ্গে coordinated। Network admin method ঠিক করবেন।

Video থেকে IP copy নয়। Range, subnet, gateway, used address ও VLAN check। Duplicate IP intermittent failure করে। Change-এর আগে old/new record।

## Epson TM-T82III example

Current Epson guide network parameter এবং TM-T82III Utility/EpsonNet Config দিয়ে Ethernet configuration দেখায়। Manual IP default example ও acquisition variation note করে। এটি Epson-specific, universal address নয়।

Browser management ও firmwareভেদে credential-এর কথা manual-এ আছে। Self-test/nameplate/current manual check, supported default change এবং management page public network-এ expose নয়।

## Seven-layer test

First failed layer-এ থামুন। Link নেই হলে POS routing বদলে লাভ নেই। Vendor utility prints কিন্তু POS নয়—network likely works, POS mapping/agent/job দেখুন।

Known-good self-test, network page, vendor test ও actual ticket preserve। কোন test কখন pass লিখুন।

## Driver, raw TCP ও ESC/POS আলাদা

কিছু system OS driver/queue, কিছু socket command, SDK বা bridge। Port/protocol printer ও POS document থেকে; universal raw port নয়।

ESC/POS Epson command system। Compatible printer partial/different emulation করতে পারে। Plain text pass মানে logo, cutter, drawer, buzzer বা Bangla pass নয়।

## Restaurant routing matrix

Menu category/station deliberate map। Beverage hot kitchen-এ নয়। Modifier, qty, table, note ও delivery reference test। Mixed order ও changed item test।

Failover duplicate KOT ঠেকান। Resend-এর আগে screen check/reprint mark। Activation/restoration owner দিন।

## Bangla text ও rendering

অনেক printer fixed code page; native Bangla shaping নাও পারে। POS image render, font path বা transliteration করতে পারে। Exact printer/firmware/driver/POS test ছাড়া bilingual promise নয়।

Bangla dish, Latin, BDT symbol, number, modifier ও long note sample। Wrap/cut/speed check। Command table নয়, restaurant workflow visible output acceptance।

## Security

Printer order/customer information expose ও service disrupt করতে পারে। Guest/operational network segment এবং unapproved remote shortcut নয়।

Rush-এর বাইরে change। Reset/firmware-এর আগে settings/support। Factory reset configuration destructive।

## Troubleshooting table

One variable at a time। সব device একসঙ্গে reboot করলে failing layer evidence হারায়। Core device restart maintenance window-এ।

Repair-এর পরে receipt, KOT, long name, modifier, cancel/reprint ও সব channel test। One service period monitor।

## Change log ও support handover

প্রতি IP, router reservation, firmware, driver, POS destination বা station mapping change-এর আগে ticket খুলুন। Reason, old/new value, device ID, technician, time, test result এবং rollback step রাখুন। Password change করলে value log-এ নয়—approved secret store-এ রাখুন।

Vendor support-কে symptom, first failure time, affected station, status light, self-test, IP/config page, passed/failed layer ও recent change দিন। Customer/order personal data mask করুন। শুধু printer not working বললে diagnosis ধীর হয়।

Replacement printer বসালে old device-এর IP reuse করার আগে old device network থেকে remove ও reservation update করুন। New MAC, model, interface, driver/emulation ও cutter/kitchen buzzer behavior test করুন। Asset register ও routing matrix update না করলে পরের incident-এ team wrong manual ব্যবহার করবে।

Wi-Fi printer হলে signal শুধু installation সময় নয়, busy service-এ check করুন। Microwave, metal rack, moving door, crowded access point ও guest traffic stability বদলাতে পারে। সম্ভব হলে critical fixed kitchen printer-এর জন্য supported wired path evaluate করুন; cable route heat, water, cleaning chemical ও physical damage থেকে protect করুন।

Switch port বা router বদলালে VLAN, client isolation, firewall এবং DHCP scope একই আছে কি না confirm করুন। Laptop একই Wi-Fi name দেখালেই printer-এর network path same হবে এমন নয়। Managed network-এ unauthorized personal router বা repeater address conflict, double NAT ও hidden isolation তৈরি করতে পারে।

Print queue stuck হলে pending job blindly resend করবেন না। Order screen ও kitchen-এর received ticket count compare করুন, queue pause/clear action authorized person নেবেন এবং duplicate prevention note দেবেন। Clear করার আগে order ID list capture করুন, যাতে missing KOT manualভাবে controlled route-এ recover করা যায়।

Monthly health check-এ config page, assigned IP, link quality, test receipt, cutter, paper sensor, clock, station route ও backup printer test করুন। Repeated cable replacement বা thermal-head issue network problem হিসেবে close করবেন না। Hardware, network, POS mapping ও staff-process incident category আলাদা রাখলে true recurring cause দেখা যায়।

## এই তথ্য কীভাবে হিসাব ও যাচাই করা হয়েছে

Guide vendor-neutral seven-layer test ব্যবহার করে: power, link, IP, reachability, port/driver, POS mapping ও job content; তারপর Epson TM-T82III official document দিয়ে labelled example। Default address/tool/credential model/firmwareভেদে বদলায়; specific printer-এর manual authority।

সব LAN printer Epson default বা ESC/POS ব্যবহার করে এমন দাবি নেই। Reusable password instruction হিসেবে publish করা হয়নি; default change, access segment এবং network/POS vendor involve করতে বলা হয়েছে।

Stable setup আসে address plan, documented path, model-correct protocol, station routing ও layered test থেকে। Self-test hardware প্রমাণ; real POS order full workflow প্রমাণ।
