## What changes the POS printer price

Paper width is only the first cost driver. Auto cutter, rated print speed, print-head life, LAN or wireless hardware, power supply and local warranty all affect the price. Portable models also include a battery, but often print more slowly and hold a smaller roll.

A low headline price may exclude the data cable, power adapter or paper roll. Ask for a written list of what is inside the box. If the printer will open a cash drawer, confirm the RJ11 drawer port and compatible voltage rather than assuming every port works the same way.

## 58mm or 80mm for a restaurant

Choose 58mm for a compact takeaway, food cart or light counter where short receipts matter more than layout. The printer and rolls cost less, but long menu names, modifiers, VAT and QR codes wrap more often.

Do not choose a printer from the advertised millimetres-per-second number alone. Prepare the longest customer bill, a modifier-heavy kitchen ticket, Bangla and English text, a QR code and twenty consecutive cuts. Run that pack from the real billing device. Watch for wrapping, missing characters, slow image rendering, failed cuts, reconnection problems and paper movement.

## Write a purchase acceptance note

## Warranty and seller questions
