# What should you ask AI about restaurant sales each Monday?

A repeatable set of dated questions can organize a weekly review. Sales, money collected and profit still need different interpretations.

**Last verified: 2026-10-14**

Use Rosuii's restaurant connection to ask for last week's sales summary, order count and highest- or lowest-selling dishes. These tasks need `reports.view`. Specify dates, compare matching conditions and check the answer against your reports before deciding.

This uses your [authorized account connector](https://rosuii.com/ai-assistant). The public MCP service about Rosuii the product does not know your restaurant's weekly figures.

## Choose the same reporting period each time

For an illustrative review, use 5 to 11 October 2026. Retrieve 28 September to 4 October separately for the previous week. These are sample questions, not a real restaurant's results.

The summary uses order creation dates, not later collection dates. Keep that distinction in mind when an outstanding bill is paid the following day. Cancelled orders are excluded from the summary and dish rankings.

## Five questions and how to read them

| Question | What it returns | What not to infer |
| --- | --- | --- |
| What were sales and order count for 5 to 11 October 2026? | Totals and counts for non-cancelled orders | This is not profit |
| Show the same figures for the previous week separately. | A second dated summary | The tool does not establish causes of a change |
| Which five dishes sold most by quantity? | Item-name rankings by quantity sold | This does not rank margin or quality |
| Among dishes that sold, which five sold least? | Lowest quantities among sold item names | Zero-sale dishes are absent |
| What is the fully paid bill total? | The summary's collected field | This is not cash collected including partial receipts |

A Bangla version of the fourth question is: “বিক্রি হয়েছে এমন খাবারের মধ্যে সবচেয়ে কম চলা পাঁচটি কী?” Naming that boundary prevents a missing dish from becoming a false conclusion.

## Read the collected figure carefully

The connector's `collected` field sums bill totals for orders marked fully paid. It does not add each payment-ledger receipt. Partial receipts are excluded. This number alone cannot reconcile a bank account, wallet settlement or cash drawer.

The `revenue` total can include unpaid and partially paid bills. Do not simply label the difference “today's outstanding balance.” Reconcile it with the separate payment records.

## Record the conditions behind a decision

- The dates, account branch and measure requested.

- Whether both periods use equivalent conditions.

- Whether different dishes sold under the same name are grouped together.

- The team's explanation for low sales, identified as an explanation rather than a proven AI finding.

- The question you will revisit next week.

The order list returns at most one hundred orders per call. Do not count that sample to produce a busy week's total. Use the summary and compare it with the [reporting conditions](https://rosuii.com/features/reports-vat).

## A review habit, not an automatic adviser

These tools do not schedule a message for Monday. They do not establish profit, wastage or purchasing decisions without separate cost, stock or recipe information. The connector has no stock access and cannot take or refund a payment after reading figures.

These questions only read records. If you later request a menu edit, review the draft first: a save publishes immediately. Read the [difference between public product information and private records](https://rosuii.com/features/ai-discoverability), then choose your weekly questions from the [tool list](https://rosuii.com/ai-assistant).

## How we calculated and verified this

Rosuii publishes this guide about its own connector. We reviewed the tool definitions, permission checks and published product information on 14 October 2026. This is an implementation and content review, not a new production account test. Example questions are instructions to try, not recorded customer results.

## FAQ

### Does absence from the lowest-selling list mean a dish sold well?

No. Dishes with no sales are absent from this ranking. A missing name is not evidence of strong sales.

### Can the assistant explain why two weeks differ?

It can suggest an explanation, but these tools do not establish causation. Check opening days, menu changes and the team's operational evidence separately.

### Does the summary authorize closing the books?

No. It supports discussion and checking. Reconcile cash, partial payments and external deposits using the relevant records.
