Order, device ও payment layer আলাদা বুঝুন

Restaurant POS software order, item, modifier, total, kitchen flow, receipt ও operational report পরিচালনা করে। POS terminal হলো hardware, যেখানে software চলতে পারে। Payment terminal bank, acquirer বা payment service-এর সঙ্গে enabled payment method গ্রহণের জন্য যোগাযোগ করে। এক Android device একাধিক layer একত্র করতে পারে, কিন্তু contract, data, certification, settlement ও failure state আলাদা থাকে।

Requirement প্রতিটি layer অনুযায়ী লিখুন, যাতে vendor শুধু payment terminal দিয়ে supports POS বলতে না পারেন। Restaurant order ও payment request-এর stable reference, device ownership, provider responsibility এবং support route আলাদা করুন।

বাংলাদেশে intended merchant account, provider, software ও device combination currentভাবে enabled না হলে generic global support বাস্তব integration প্রমাণ করে না। Feature বা payment-method claim করার আগে authenticated test এবং current written support evidence নিন।

Layer comparison

Order paid এবং payment pending বা reversed একই state নয়। POS authoritative provider result ব্যবহার করবে; customer screenshot investigation evidence, automatic settlement proof নয়। Cashier screen-এ order state ও payment state আলাদা দেখা দরকার, বিশেষ করে timeout বা reversal-এর সময়।

এক layer-এর record অন্য layerকে silently overwrite করবে না। Payment success সঠিক order-এ একবার map হবে। Failed বা declined payment orderকে paid করবে না। Refund original payment reference-এর সঙ্গে থাকবে, কিন্তু item cancellation ও payment refund আলাদা event হিসেবে trace হবে।

POS terminal ও payment terminal কেন গুলিয়ে যায়

বাজারে POS machine কথাটি কখনও restaurant billing device, কখনও bank card terminal, আবার কখনও complete software-hardware bundle বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়। তাই quotation-এ শুধু POS machine না লিখে CPU or Android device, display, printer, drawer, POS license, installation, payment acceptance এবং support আলাদা line করুন।

Full form বা label দিয়ে capability নিশ্চিত হয় না। Android device থাকলেই card payment enabled নয়; card terminal থাকলেই inventory বা kitchen workflow থাকে না। One-device setup সম্ভব হলেও exact app, OS version, peripheral, payment service ও merchant approval একসঙ্গে support হতে হবে।

Procurement form-এ model number, operating system, RAM or storage যদি relevant ও verified হয়, port, printer connection, warranty source, software version এবং payment-provider ownership লিখুন। Seller title থেকে specification copy না করে manufacturer or authorized seller evidence check করুন।

Integrated payment acceptance test

Exact software, device, payment provider এবং merchant account দিয়ে test করুন। Generic integration badge intended Bangladesh workflow-এর প্রমাণ নয়। Cashier amount change করলে terminal নতুন approved amount পায় কি না এবং stale request বাতিল হয় কি না দেখুন।

Success, decline, timeout, network loss, duplicate tap, provider success but POS unreachable, POS success display but statement missing—এসব scenario চালান। Blind retry বা refund করবেন না যখন payment unresolved। Stable request ID ও idempotent processing duplicate risk কমায়।

Receipt-এ customer ও merchant copy, order ID, payment reference এবং masked তথ্য intended policy অনুযায়ী দেখুন। Card secret, PIN, full credential বা OTP কোনো log, screenshot বা support case-এ রাখবেন না।

Cash ও manually recorded method

Restaurant POS payment terminal ছাড়াও cash বা configured separately recorded method দিয়ে কাজ করতে পারে। কিন্তু method selection, received amount, change, cashier shift এবং reconciliation স্পষ্ট হতে হবে। Manually paid mark করলে proof ও permission policy অনুযায়ী রাখুন।

Digital transfer screenshot দেখে order paid করার আগে restaurant-এর approved verification route ব্যবহার করুন। Provider integration না থাকলে manual processকে integration বলবেন না। Cashierকে pending, verified ও rejected state বোঝান।

Mixed payment support করলে cash ও terminal অংশ, failure recovery এবং partial refund test করুন। Unsupported হলে customerকে ভুল promise না দিয়ে approved alternative দিন। Reportে each payment method আলাদা amount ও reference দেখায় কি না যাচাই করুন।

Hardware ও peripheral compatibility

POS device-এর সঙ্গে receipt printer, kitchen printer, cash drawer, barcode scanner, customer display বা KDS প্রয়োজন হতে পারে। Exact port, driver, browser support, paper width এবং character rendering intended configuration-এ test করুন। Bluetooth, USB বা LAN label একাই compatibility প্রমাণ করে না।

Payment terminal সাধারণত provider-controlled security ও update process অনুসরণ করতে পারে। Device root, unsupported app install বা unapproved cable ব্যবহার policy ভাঙতে পারে; current provider instruction মেনে চলুন। Restaurant POS update এবং payment terminal update আলাদা owner-এর হতে পারে।

Bangla text intended printer-এ readable কি না test receipt দিন। Drawer kick, print retry, paper out এবং power loss scenario দেখুন। Hardware failure হলে manual order or payment fallback কী হবে এবং পরে কীভাবে reconcile হবে লিখুন।

Procurement ও support ownership

কে প্রতিটি layer supply, configure, update ও support করেন লিখুন। Printer problem, POS app error, terminal decline এবং bank settlement difference আলাদা team চাইতে পারে। Staffকে একটি triage card দিন—safe check, captured reference এবং escalation contactসহ।

Incident-এ order ID, payment request reference, terminal ID, time, amount, displayed state এবং safe error code capture করুন। Card secret বা customer credential নয়। Order, provider result, receipt এবং statement একই outcome দেখায় কি না নির্ধারণ করুন।

Pending payment unresolved থাকলে আবার charge বা refund blindভাবে করবেন না। Current provider support route এবং restaurant escalation policy অনুসরণ করুন। Customerকে verified status ও case reference দিন। পরে outcome এলে original event-এর সঙ্গে reconciliation adjustment রাখুন।

Daily close-এ POS paid orders, terminal batch or report, settlement statement এবং cash record compare করুন। Timing difference, reversal, cross-period refund ও fee adjustment আলাদা করুন। Net payout দেখেই order total reconcile হয়েছে ধরে নেবেন না।

Security, offboarding ও human-review gate

POS user deactivate করলে terminal admin বা payment-provider portal access নিজে থেকে বন্ধ নাও হতে পারে। Offboarding-এ POS, device management, merchant portal, report folder ও recovery channel আলাদা review করুন। Named user ও least-privilege access ব্যবহার করুন।

Merchant account business owner, approved admin এবং recovery method নথিভুক্ত করুন। Shared credential এড়িয়ে চলুন। Device lost হলে session revoke, provider notification এবং recent sensitive event review করুন। Payment data handling applicable provider rule ও qualified security review অনুযায়ী হবে।
