Offline billing continuity

Keep restaurant billing moving when the internet drops

After you sync operating data to a device, Rosuii can keep eligible POS order-taking and cash billing moving during a connection outage. Queued work syncs back to the restaurant database after the connection returns.

Offline billing continuity

Who this feature is for

For counters where an unstable connection cannot be allowed to stop service

  • Restaurants affected by ISP interruptions or load-shedding
  • Counters that need a visible pending-order queue
  • Teams that want a deliberate pre-shift data sync
  • Operators who need clear boundaries around offline capability

Operational benefits

What this changes in daily service

Continue eligible order-taking

The device uses its saved menu, customer and operating snapshots so staff can keep building eligible POS orders.

Queue work on the device

Orders and eligible payment entries wait in a scoped local outbox instead of disappearing after a failed network request.

See what still needs to sync

A panel-wide status bar shows pending work and provides a manual sync action alongside automatic retry.

How it works

A practical three-step workflow

1. Sync before service

Open the POS online and use the offline-data sync so the current menu, customers and settings are stored on that device.

2. Keep billing during an outage

Take eligible orders and record eligible offline payments; Rosuii places them in the local queue.

3. Reconnect and reconcile

Rosuii retries the queue when internet access returns and shows anything that still needs attention.

What is included

  • IndexedDB data snapshots
  • Device-scoped order queue
  • Eligible offline payment queue
  • Automatic retry after reconnection
  • Manual Sync now action
  • Last-saved orders available as an offline copy

Frequently asked questions

Does everything in Rosuii work without internet?

No. Eligible POS order-taking can continue on a prepared device, but online payments, live multi-device updates and other server-real-time actions need connectivity.

What happens to an offline order?

It is stored in the device queue and retried against the restaurant database after connectivity returns.

Do I need to prepare the device first?

Yes. Sync the device while online so it has current menu, customer and operating data before an outage.
