What is Digital invoice?
The guest's bill delivered as a web link or QR code instead of, or alongside, the printed slip, so the guest opens an itemised copy of their own bill on their own phone.
In a Bangladeshi restaurant
A café prints a QR in the footer of the paper bill, or the cashier sends the link on WhatsApp when a guest asks for a copy. The guest scans it, opens their own itemised bill with items, add-ons, discount, service charge, VAT and total, and leaves a rating on the same page before they reach the door.
Common mistake
Thinking a digital invoice replaces the VAT and Mushak documentation a restaurant is required to issue and keep. It does not: a shared bill link is a convenience for the guest, and the statutory records still have to be produced and retained as the law requires. The second mistake is worse, sending a bill that carries another guest's details. Send one guest only their own order, and assume any link you share can be forwarded on.
Not to be confused with
Not a printed receipt, which is the physical copy handed over at the counter; a digital invoice is a page that stays on the guest's phone, and most restaurants do both by printing the QR on the paper. It is also not an accounting-software invoice raised for a corporate client with a billing address and payment terms, which is a document issued for a company to pay against rather than the table's bill.
Where it lives in Rosuii
Every order in Rosuii has a Share button that makes a private online bill link with a QR, and the same QR can be printed in the receipt footer. The guest opens the bill in Bangla or English and rates the order and each dish. The link cannot be revoked one by one, so treat it as forwardable, and the page needs internet.
